Hello, and welcome to a packing list that will have you become a seasoned traveller in no time.
The best carry on packing list will educated the traveller to pack within the rules of the tsa, and help you to get from Point A to Point B with ease.
Lately, airlines have been adding fees to anything to turn a profit. Unfortunately, the checked baggage fee is here to stay, so why not learn the basics of packing a carryon perfectly to beat the airlines at their own game?
Plus, when you leave the plane, you can bypass the bagged claim and into your Uber in a matter of no time.
It’s all about creating a smarter travel carry on bag packing list.
The Best Carry On Packing List For All Your Travel Essentials
I am a budget conscious person. Some would say I am cheap, but I think they are all wrong. I am just frugal. So when it comes to packing, I tend to be just like macgyver in having a way around anything.
Before we start the best carry on packing list, here is a tip you should adopt.
If you have a wheeled carry on suitcase, and an extra bag like a Longchamp or daypack, fold the extra bag into your carrying on while going through security.
When you get to the gate, take out all the stuff you’re going to need on the actual flight – laptop, headphones, kindle, compression socks, powerbank etc. – and place them into the Longchamp or day pack.
The next step is wait until you hear the gate agent mention that the flight is full and if you would like checking your carryon to your final destination come to the front desk.
Check your carryon, and you saved a checked bag fee.

Compression Packing Cubes
If you haven’t tried compression cubes, they are a game changer! Everything in my suitcase is so much better organised and they add a fair amount of space, especially when packing sweaters.
These are made of a very thin, but durable fabric, so they add no bulk and the handles make it so easy to unpack – I just unzip each and throw them into a drawer in the hotel.
Longchamp Women's Le Pliage Medium Handbag
I was told specifically by my wife to add this to this list. There will be a few items on the best packing list for carryon baggage that are her list.
Now, if you don’t know what a Longchamp Handbag is here is some background on the company. Longchamp is still family owned and operated, creating superbly crafted handbags and luggage lauded for a decidedly understated, always chic look.
Since it’s a family-owned company, I suggest buying this product from Nordstrom.com if you do.
The reason is I read Amazon reviews on many of the bags for sale, and they all seem to be knock offs. I am unsure if that’s true, but to be on the safe side, try Nordstrom as it’s at the same price as Amazon.
Domke F-2 Original Shoulder Camera Bag
Sure I love my phone for spur of the moment photos, but nothing beats a good DSLR. But a good DSLR like the Sony a7 III, will set you back a few dollars, If you want to protect your investment, you need a great camera bag.
I love this camera bag as it’s rugged and looks rugged enough not to draw attention to the bag.

I personally love having an unlocked phone with me while I travel. An unlocked phone is always on my carry on packing list for europe.
It’s cheaper buying a sim card and minutes in the country you are in than get a huge bill when you get home.
This is a great laptop for the traveler who wants something compact and fast. I love my MacBook air because it syncs to my iCloud while I am traveling abroad, so all my photos, documents, etc. are safe and sound.
Plus, it’s light! This is a great laptop for working away on an airplane or watching an inflight movie.
For when you just need to read. There are so many fantastic novels out there that are definite page turners, that carrying 5 hard covers in a carryon will send you to the chiropractor stat.
The Kindle is great because it’s light, waterproof and can hold thousands of books.
Plus, it so much easier ordering books off of Kindle compared to browsing at a book store for hours to find a book I would love.
When I need a break from it all while flying, I use the Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones to escape. I said earlier in the post that I am a frugal person, but when it comes to headphones, I will spend a few extra dollars to have the best.
This is the first item on my flight packing checklist that is checked off first while packing.
Portable Battery Charger
There is nothing like arriving at the airport after a 10-hour flight only to find out that you can get a UBER because you were playing angry birds throughout the flight.
The RAVPower Portable Battery Charger comes in handy when events happen that angry birds have caused.
Plus, a portable battery charger is the best thing for when you are playing angry birds in a Disney line up for 2 hours.

Regardless of whether you travel a lot or just need a little extra organization in your life an Electronics Cable Organizer Bag is right for everybody. I always had issues with cords tangling in my laptop case, taking up too much space horizontally, and being unorganized which was frustrating.
I was looking for a way to organize all my electronics in one place. This organizer meets all my requirements! It holds all chargers, cords, power bank, mouse organized in a compact case (fits perfectly to a compact laptop bag) The quality is awsome as well, I can only recommend it. An airplane carry on packing list must.

Moisturizing Lip Balm
When you are inside a tin can, flying to a destination, you begin to dehydrate as soon as the flight crew closes the cabin doors. When you are on a long flight, the dry air can take a toll on your lips.
Which why having a lip balm that is compact enough to fit in a front pants pocket is a necessity.
Antibacterial Hand Wipes
The first thing I do when I board a plane is have my hand wipes ready to disinfect everything around me. I am not really a germaphobe, but they say the dirtiest thing on the plane is the tray table.
Why? Well, when I saw a parent change their baby where a person would eat, is a good reason why. (Mind you, where else can a parent change their baby in cramped conditions?)
Dry shampoo removes oil and grease to breathe new life into your hair, leaving you feeling clean between washes.

Plus, the zipper pocket is good for when you are on a train trying to get some sleep that you can store your valuables around your neck.
Casual Longline Knit Cardigan Sweater
